This is the case with the Senior Full Stack Developer (Software Engineer) I am looking for to join a team and take a key role in the internal development and evolution of our Shopware-based, a headless e-commerce platform deployed in a multitenant environment.

Senior Full-Stack Developer (Software Engineer)

In this position, you will work hands-on on enhancing existing functionality, developing high-impact plugins that improve conversion rates, and building new applications such as online selection and configuration tools.
You will contribute actively to technical architecture decisions, system integrations, and the long-term health of a modern, scalable multi-tenant e-commerce environment. While this is not a formal technical lead role, you are expected to take senior ownership, apply best practices, and act as a strong technical sparring partner within the team.


THE ROLE combines hands-on development, architectural thinking, and collaboration with business stakeholders and external partners, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and modern API-driven e-commerce practices.

Over time, this position offers a clear opportunity to grow into broader technical ownership as the platform and organization continue to scale.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

To clarify further, the project will entail 80% backend development and 20% frontend development. That being said, here’s the way we would describe your main responsibilities:

  • Own and lead the architecture of a headless e-commerce platform based on Shopware 6 Store deployed in a multi-tenant environment
  • Act as a technical authority for both frontend and backend development
  • Design, implement, and review backend systems using PHP 8.x and Symfony, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and clean architecture
  • Lead development of frontend applications using TypeScript, Vue 3, Nuxt 3 (SSR) with a strong emphasis on:
    • Performance and Core Web Vitals
    • SEO and accessibility standards
    • High-quality UX for conversion-driven e-commerce
  • Drive the conceptualization, evaluation, and development of new applications (e.g. online selection and configuration tools); what this means is that first you will be working with business stakeholders to understand the need and requirements, evaluate feasibility and oversee the project estimates
  • Oversee and contribute to the development of Shopware plugins aimed at increasing conversion rates and improving the overall customer experience
  • Lead and design third-party integrations, including:
    • ERP and PIM systems
    • Search, caching, and data platforms
  • Architect and maintain integrations with OpenSearch and Redis
  • Co-own and continuously improve:
    • CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
    • Docker & DDEV development environments
    • Observability and monitoring (Sentry, logs, metrics)
  • Set engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor other developers
  • Collaborate closely with product management team and stakeholders to translate business goals into robust technical solutions
  • Provide pragmatic project estimate & planning; strong problem decomposition, prioritization, and risk/trade-off communication
  • Deliver thoughtful code reviews and mentor others (pairing, constructive feedback)
  • Ensure clear documentation(Confluence), readable PRs, realistic estimates and planning.

TECH ACUMEN REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience as a Senior Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer, meaning 7y+ experience in backend and frontend development
  • Deep expertise in headless e-commerce architectures, and Store API–driven systems
    Strong backend leadership with PHP 8.x and Symfony
  • Advanced frontend experience with Vue 3, Nuxt 3, TypeScript, and SSR
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining complex integrations (ERP, PIM, third-party services)
  • Strong understanding of OpenSearch, Redis, and scalable data architectures
  • Solid experience with Docker-based development and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong grasp of performance optimization, SEO, accessibility, and security best practices
  • Ability to own systems end-to-end, make architectural decisions, and communicate them clearly
  • Experience mentoring engineers and raising overall code quality
  • Working in Agile framework – Scrum

EDUCATION

  • Studies – University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
