Live in Curiosity

No, I do not believe for a moment that curiosity kills the cat! Quite the opposite! I firmly believe that curiosity is a gift that we need to nurture throughout our lives. A gift we should seed in all children, in the people we mentor or those we sometimes get the chance to lead.

It is curiosity that drives us to seek and discover new perspectives – be it why we feel the way we do, what happened to that project we worked so hard and got cancelled, to gain more knowledge about a subject we are passionate about, to fuel our creativity and innovative thinking.

“I think, at a child’s birth, if a mother could ask a fairy godmother to endow it with the most useful gift, that gift would be curiosity.“

Eleanor Roosevelt

—American first lady (1933–45), wife of Franklin D. Roosevelt, United Nations diplomat and humanitarian.

I believe curiosity is vital for my own personal growth and overall well-being. It not only fuels a lifelong love of learning, but also keeps my brain cells active, fosters creativity, enhances critical thinking, and builds resilience.

When curiosity is truly valued and encouraged it creates a team that’s more resilient, more empathetic and more creative. Innovation is not born out of nothing! 🙂 It is grounded in knowledge.

#WHAT I DO ABOUT CURIOSITY …

Briefly, I cultivate my curiosity every day by doing various things:

  • Reading all sorts of things (from tech & AI to business models, spirituality, personal journals, science researches etc)
  • Actively listening and asking a lot of questions
  • Watching documentaries
  • Doing proper research, and I do not mean using digital tools!

I am also willing to admit when I don’t know something and this not only encourages stimulating conversations, but also validates people and that matters more you can imagine.

Curiosity is what helped me evolve in all my roles … as a woman, business transformation consultant, leader, therapist, jewellery maker and friend.

#WHAT DO YOU DO TO CULTIVATE CURIOSITY?!

Feedback and suggestions are very welcome! 🙂
